When does a New Hampshire contractor license expire?

Master, journeyman, high/medium voltage and corporation or partnership licenses renew every 2 years from the date of issue. Apprentice and trainee identification cards renew every year. A master or journeyman license lapsed more than a year needs an NEC course (15 hours up to 3 years lapsed, 45 or 90 hours beyond that) and may need to retake the exam.1

How many continuing education hours does New Hampshire require?

Master and journeyman electricians complete 15 hours of instruction on the changes in the latest NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), including at least one hour on changes to RSA 319-C, the board's rules and board-listed installation concerns. The course is due within 12 months from January 1 of the year after each new NEC edition is published and must come from a board-approved provider.1

How much is the New Hampshire renewal fee?

A journeyman electrician license is $110 and a master electrician license is $198, each covering 2 years (initial, renewal or reinstatement).2
