What does the Colorado Electrical Contractor license require?
Electrical contractor registration (not a license): the owner or a full-time employee must be a Colorado master electrician, and a master can be the named master for only one contractor. Individual licenses: Master, Journeyman, Residential Wireman; plus apprentice registration.1
Exam
Master, Journeyman and Residential Wireman license exams are set and graded by the Board, which sets the passing score.1
Bond
No surety bond is required for contractor registration (CRS 12-115-110(5) asks only for the fee, workers' comp and unemployment compliance, and a master electrician).1
How do you check an EC license?
Search by license number or business name on the Colorado license lookup, which reads the same state file.
