What general liability insurance does Nebraska require?

No general liability insurance is required to register. The only insurance proof is workers' compensation, if you have employees.1

Can a Nebraska contractor be exempt from workers' comp?

Contractors with one or more employees must file a workers' compensation certificate of insurance (ACORD 25) naming the Department of Labor as certificate holder. Contractors without employees can instead sign a statement that they are not required to carry coverage.2

What is a certificate of insurance?

It's the one-page summary (usually an ACORD 25 form) a contractor's agent issues to show the policies, limits and dates in force. How to read and check one
